Using new technology in school is a good idea. Using the IPAD may be a secret way for students to IMessage others but on the bright side they are learning to use what may be the benefit of our future, Who knows whether the textbook will be around by the time a new generation settles it. Believe it or not a big possibility of our future could become more "technological" than we think. Yes it is wrong to send out little messages from the touch screen device but can we really stop everything? Personally i think this is a go getter I would love to see more younger children interacting with the modern technology in our world today, its a great start for them.
IPAD is a headache for parents. Students use IPAD IMessage texting during classes and deep night, play games during classes and deep night. They don't know what homework is, how to do it, when the test is, and just failed everything.

Technology can be used to better fit the needs of individual students. Sticking to a fixed teaching schedule does not allow students who have mastered the material to move on to an additional lesson or for students who do not understand the material to keep trying until they grasp it. Technology can fix both those problems while eliminating the embarrassment some students may feel about moving ahead or asking questions because they do not understand the material. Technology allows students to be curious and move ahead. It also allows teachers to personalize lessons for each student based on their needs. Instead of having a uniform lesson, teachers can individually go to students who are working on computers and answer questions that meet their needs.
Here is an article that shows technology can be a cost effective way to enhance education, improve test scores and lower dropout rates.
Tak what is is with you and elephants?
There needs to be a way to change the view of education in the public eye, especially career and tech ed. The problem is that people have this negative view of CTE, a view that is 20 years in the past. We teach technology and skills that will greatly benefit the students in a career and in college and we need people to understand. We need parents to take an active role in their childs education and students to take ownership.
technology is always improving, being able to have our schools keep up with the improvments is always a plus
technology is the future. it’s not just an elephant in the room full of old folks. http://t.co/MjU1Cyqz
